Dear Friends,

Happy Christmas!Right in the middle of summer, while humidity is set on its highest pitch, it might appear like “slipping a few cogs”, to hear someone shouting happy Christmas, I don't mean Midwinter Christmas, I mean “Christmas in July”! It is said that the Christmas in July celebration probably started in Australia in July, 1980 when a group of Irish tourists convinced their hosts in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales to hold a party, well known as "Yulefest". This comes about, when just a couple of weeks ago, while Paul and myself were in San-Rafael where we hold our cell group, one lady wanted to show me how many turkeys she owns, coming out of the blue she said “I would like you to chose a boy and girl turkey”. I said, “how do I know which one is a boy, and which one is a girl?”, She said, “well, I will tell you”. Later she pick out a pair of turkeys, and I named them, Fernando and Fernanda,which are pretty common masculine, and feminine first names in Mexico. I later thought, well, my Christmas (Midwinter) dinner is long way prepared for.

Ministry News

June came with a new level of tides in our work her in San Pedro, as I mentioned in May's newsletter that we were finishing off the new bathrooms which were bing constructed at the Property, after we build the roofing and all the plumbing pipes drilled in the walls, Stephen realized that we would need an electrician to help us to do the installation. Tilting my head while thinking, I said, “we don't need one, I think I can do it”. Way back when I was 14, I had studied a bit about electric installation, and a couple of years later saw me helping electricians to fix minor problems and being able to carry out basic installations. In less than 5 days, I had finished all the wiring in the bathrooms, and everything was functioning as it should.

The Delicias ministry is taking on a new level, I was there yesterday, we had about 18 people with us, which I think is the largest number of people who have come to the meeting so far, with one lady giving her life to Christ a couple of weeks ago.

The rehab-centers and Children's breakfast are also doing excellently, we have seen more than 32 salvations in June. A church in Torreon , near Cardboard land where the Children's Breakfast ministry is located, has been helping us to seize every opportunity to share the gospel with the mothers at the children's breakfast, who bring their children for Breakfast. As a result, we are seeing not only children transformed through the food, Songs and short bible messages we give, but their mothers are also impacted, who will be naturing then in the way of the Lord.
