February Newsletter 2011

Dear Friend,

How wonderful, and such a pleasure to sit down and write to you. It’s my prayer that wherever you are, and regardless of any opposition you may be facing today, God’s Grace has got you covered if you will dare to trust Him.

The entire month of February has been one filled with great surprises, both in a downing, and up lifting way. Downing, where I have found my faith tested in areas my natural mind has not comprehended where God is leading me concerning a specific need. But at the end I see what a great work He is doing in my life. As He refines me each day making me more precious in His sight as I continue to rust Him. In the midst of all of this, I have greatly found encouragement in the verses “God opposes the proud but shows favor (Grace) to the humble.”Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5b-7) By this I am encouraged, no matter what is going on in our lives right now, as we humble ourselves, God’s Grace will never fail Us!

Ministry News
As you may already know, I am on a trip to re-connect with friends and meeting new ones. I have just got back from Oregon, where I spend 7 days. My time was so fruitful in the small town of Grants Pass, as I spontaneously held 2 book signings at a local book store, and met great friends. In the process, when my friend Colin invited me to preach, the church was blessed by 7 new visitors! Really up lifting moments, are how God has touched people even as I only spent a shot time with them (Just saying hi, how are you?). Great people are getting back to me letting me know how my presence was such a blessing to them. Every time I receive an email like this, it just sends me back to the feet of Jesus and desire to be more humble that His loving Grace might be reveled through me!

I am very much in contact with my co-workers in Mexico, the ministry is moving ahead and God has been very faithful. On the side is a photo of a man I call Dad, his name Jon Snyder. He came down to Mexico with the (ANM) Construction team to help with our ongoing church construction.  As he shared with the villagers, they lifted up their hands and worshiped God.

Salvation Story continues
This is the continuation of the salvation story form last month. If you did not get to read my January Newsletter, please visit: http://www.loveisking.blogspot.com/

As Rosy said YES to Christ, she was so hungry to hear and learn more about the loving savior she has encountered! I always found Rosy’s questions very deep and thoughtful, as she sought answers to understand God’s will in her life. I wasted no time, I gave Rosy a bible which she said was the perfect material gift ever given her.

One Wednesday evening as we finished our regular Cell group meetings at “Templo Cristiano Libertard (TCL),” Rosy came to me and said. “I would like you to come with me to visit my husband.” I was quiet as she went on. She explained that as she prayed, God had been healing her heart after what had happened between her and the young man. This is the man whom she had made a vow to marry. Entrusted her life to him and said protect me. The same man, who had let her down, instead of protecting her life, had rather dared and dreaded to take it from her.  Despite of everything that had taken place. Rosy felt in her heart that she was not only to forgive and release him. But also, desire the best for his life by wanting him to come to know Christ.

After I agreed to meet the guy, there was no better day the following day.

As we walked into the fellow’s house, he had been taking a siesta! After I sat down, I was unprepared for what he said. “As I napped, in my dream I saw you!” To which I thought “I hope you are not trying to get me scared!” He went on to say, “I have never seen you before, and I am sure you have never seen me either.” He described he had seen me come into His house, and sat exactly where I sat. As we talked about what had happened between him and Rosy, he said he repented it all, and desired to be a changed man! There and then we prayed for his salvation, and he too said YES to Christ! Praise God!

Since then, Him, Rosy and their two children (as seen in the photo) are members of our church (TCL) and they are also inviting their family members as they share God’s grace with them. (Please pray for the ongoing reconsolidation process as Rosy and her husband seek to get back together and live as a happy family.)

Thank you so much
Friend, I am very grateful for all your prayers and support that you give me. I am always encouraged to hear from you and to know how I can also pray for you. Looking at every way I am a blessings to the people around me and the lives that are touched and changed by the powerful loving grace of Jesus, I know and I am convinced you play a great part in it all and you are partaker of the Grace that the Lord has bestowed on my life. I am so thankful to have a friend just like you.

Please continue to pray,
1-    For God’s wisdom to over flow in my life as I desired to press toward the high calling and reach out to others.
2-    Pray for the availability of resources and much needed help
3-    Lastly, please pray as I overcome every challenge I encounter along the way. And always walk in God’s great wisdom and godly counsel from His faithful servants.

You are in my prayers dear friend, that as you humble yourself this coming moth, God is able and more than able to fulfill all your desires and make all your plans succeed!

Much Blessings in Love,
Love is King
Donald
