August Newsletter 2012

Dear Friend,

The world is at its best as all the Olympians meet their matches in the world international games, its breath-taking watching the dedication and endurance of each athlete’s race for gold.  May we all be encouraged to put aside all worries, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” (Heb 12:1b)

The month of July has been such a fast moving month for me. Having traveled to England at the end of June, I spent many hours visiting with old friends, family, encouraging others in missions, attending missions meetings, a conference and going through breath-taking moments! Great thanks to all the people who have made JULY 2012 a month to remember!

Ministry News
The village ministry continues to reach more people, and those who now already know Jesus continue to receive bibles so that they can deepen their understanding of a loving father. Last week my team mate Myrna teamed up with Tomas a great friend who I have discipled over the years into missions. Together they cast a super hero teaching day for the youth and children in Delicias, proclaiming Jesus as the only eternal super hero in our hearts.

Rescue Center
A new part that is taking form in the heart of Seedtime and Harvest ministry is a rescue center. This ministry is going to be focused towards the countless suffering young people who have escaped for their lives from the Mexican drug war in the last 6 years, having had nowhere to turn, they will be received in the center with the end result of  discipling them for Jesus. So far we already have two indigenous boys whose lives are at stake. Please pray for great wisdom and protection as we branch into this new ministry.

Engagement
Will you be my Wife?! The words seemed to pop out at a rapid speed I do not recall. As I gave a goodbye friends talk while I wrapped up my time in England last week, I was sweating like a wounded pirate at no one’s mercy, as I knew what was to come at the end. Becky and I met over eight years ago while still in school, and over the years we have had much esteem and respect for each other’s love and service to the Lord. Our friendship took a sparkly majestic turn a number of months ago, after much prayer and fasting while we went through the good, the bad and the ugly; until last week when everything became official. I proposed to my best friend with a red piece of string and as she said “YES,” a commitment ring was waiting at the end of it! Thank you so much for your support and prayers, we couldn’t have done  it without them!

Please Continue to Pray
1-    For God’s wisdom for us. May He lead and guide us as we venture into all the new areas in our lives and ministries He is allowing us to spear head, and be part of. May He give us the right words as we encourage each other and those who want to serve Him.

2- Pray for the availability of resources, finances and much needed help. (For information on how you can get involved by giving to a specific project, please get in touch)

3-   Lastly, please pray for God’s protection and we lay down our lives to serve Him in all things.

Thank you so much
I am very grateful for all your prayers and support. I am always encouraged to hear from you and to know how I can also pray for you. Looking at every way I am a blessing to the people around me and the lives that are touched and changed by the powerful loving grace of Jesus, I know and I am convinced you play a great part in it all and you are a partaker of the Grace that the Lord has bestowed on my life. I am so thankful to have a friend like you.

From a humble and thankful heart,
Much blessings and love
Donald

PSs: Mission Possible Book
“Donald Kamese is a remarkable young man who has learned a lot—and with his approach to life will continue to learn much. Young people—and all people considering life and missions—will benefit greatly by reading his book.”
A review by John Lindner, Editor, ANM World Missions Magazine

I am very happy to report that finally Mission Possible goes into the main stream market online such as Amazon, major distribution channels like Banners and Nobles and Book data bases worldwide making it available to order in any book store/library near you. I am already receiving reports from those who have read the book and have been greatly encouraged to serve the Lord! One missionary from the US said;
“I wish I had known these cultural differences before hand, saving me the frustration of all misunderstandings I have encountered in Mexico.”
