Dear Friend

For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14 v11-12

As another months passes by, it’s crazy to think we are now half way through the year. June was another hot month with challenges of power cuts and no water supply to the house. We also welcomed a new addition to our family-a dog called Luchita (meaning ‘fight’ in Spanish), participated in women’s and marriage conferences, Donald preached at a youth conference and we attended a funeral. This week as we made our way to Delicias with a car full of people, we found ourselves discussing the above verses. We were reminded once again that each of us will one day stand before God and give an account of our lives. It has given us a renewed vigour in our work here as we continue to seek to share the gospel and use the gifts God has given us.

Everyday life
We are currently finding there are many benefits of being a mixed couple! Besides getting to experience the richness of different cultural backgrounds, we are finding that being the only mixed couple in the region is tending to attract people who want to come and talk to us or have their photo taken with us!! We are trying to make the most of these opportunities by sharing the gospel with them and inviting them to church. Just last week, while we were spending time together in the local city on our day off, we were sitting in a park having a picnic and reading the bible together when a guy came over and asked if we were Christians. It turned out Sergio had been in prison some years back where he had heard the gospel and accepted Jesus into his life. However, since his release he had slipped away and gotten into heavy drinking. As we talked with him we were able to encourage him, pray with him and give him a bible and directions to nearby churches.

Delicias
Myrna and Tadeo are continuing to prepare for their wedding next month and to take over responsibilities in the church in Delicias. We have been spending time with them encouraging them in their work and helping them to prepare for marriage. There have been a few difficulties in the church recently as some of the older members are finding it difficult to adapt to some of the changes that have been made in the church in recent months. Please pray that these would all be sorted out quickly and unity would be restored.

Visiting missionaries
For the past month Kiara Bland has been here in San Pedro serving with Seedtime and Harvest Ministries from Nashville, Tennessee. As one of our regular supporters, it’s been great spending time with her and getting to know her more. She has been coming to Delicias with us weekly and also when we visit people from the church here in San Pedro. Becky has particularly enjoyed having another English speaker here who she can talk to as she continues to learn Spanish. Two more guys have also come down for two weeks from Tennessee to experience missionary life. They too have come to Delicias with us and participated in leading the church service.

Alondra
Thank you to all of you who were praying for Alondra, sadly a few weeks ago she passed away. We held her thanksgiving service the following day where a few hundred people gathered to remember her life. We are thankful that she is no longer suffering and now with her heavenly father.  Please continue to pray for her family as they deal with their loss, and for the many friends who attended her funeral and heard the gospel.

Ministry
Donald is underway developing the curriculum for the Bible/Mission school soon to be started and in identifying cell group leaders for further training. We are realising how needed it is for the native people here to be traine

d so they are equipped to reach their own people with the gospel. Next week a group of 5 guys from the church are going to Haiti on a missions trip where they will be reaching people through soccer in order to share the good news of the gospel with them. Donald will be doing some studies with them before they leave in order that they are prepared. Becky, alongside Kiara, is currently working with the 11-15 year old girls where there is a big problem of them getting physically involved with guys at a young age. They meet weekly where they share from the bible with them and encourage them. Donald is doing the same with the young guys.

Praise report
-Becky is increasing in her Spanish and has been able to enjoy spending time and talking more with some of the ladies in the church.
-Praise God for the recent conversations we have had with people, one even resulted in them giving their life to God.
-Thank God for the life of Kiara and the blessing that she is here, as she has given up her summer to come and serve.

Please pray
-Please pray for Sergio, that he would read his bible and find a church and that his life would be changed. Please also pray we would continue to make the most of these opportunities to glorify God.
-For the living conditions in San Pedro, we aren’t getting any water delivered to the house so Donald has to go and manually get it from the water plant. For continued strength during the hot months.
-For the 5 boys going to Haiti, that they might be bold in sharing the gospel.
-That we would continue to listen to the Lord as He continues to lead us in what he has for us here.

Thank you for continuing to support us in our ministry here. We love hearing from you so please do get in touch.
Much love in Him
Donald and Becky

May Newsletter 2013

Dear Friend,

“By this my father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples”
John 15:8

It gives me much pleasure to say my “wife and I” are very thankful and humbled by all your prayers and support. Thank you so much for being a part of our lives, by being interested in what is going in our lives and how the Lord Jesus has chosen to use us to glorify the father through Him now as a married couple.

The month of April was one to remember for many years to come in our lives. All the wedding preparations having fallen into place and much thought gone into what it really means to get married. As the 13th rolled in it was just so surreal, as we looked back to how far the Lord has brought us through being great friends for the past 9 years to now being husband and wife. As we said we do, I (Donald) “I could not hold myself back from smiling, as I glanced upon my radiant bride!” Thank you very much for all of your efforts and everyone who worked so hard to make it a great day for us.

Having had a few days away and saying goodbyes to our families and friends in England, we boarded a ship bound for the States. We had booked a cruise for our honeymoon, which we had found to be a better deal as it would work out for our transportation back to the Americas. As the ship sailed from Southampton to New York, we prayed we would not end up on a Titanic!!  But that even if we did, may we do so glorifying the father.

We were very encouraged that on board the ship, we found there was a Christian fellowship meeting every day. The gentleman and his wife who led the group were on an around the world cruise. It was with great joy that at the end of the first meeting, after he got to know that we were Missionaries, he invited Donald to share from scripture the next day and again the very last night of our cruise. It was a great blessing that even on our honeymoon the Lord decided to use us this way. As we studied John chapter 15 we were reminded again how the only thing that shows that we are truly the Lord’s disciples is “BEARING FRUIT,” and it’s the very reason He chose us in Him.

 Mexico
We are right now in Ohio before we start traveling back to Mexico by road, so we should be there by next week. Here is a report from Myrna and Tadeo;

“For now, we would like you all to support us in prayer for the visits that are coming up next week.
A group is coming to Nuevo Delicias to give the men work clothes and work shoes and a short class on safety. They are non-Christians so please pray that they will all receive the gospel in a fertile heart! Also a group of 10 youth and their leaders are coming from Tennessee arriving Saturday, plus Brother Ike from Oklahoma, God is up to something!! Please pray for courage for Tadeo and I, for a sensitive heart to discern what God is doing and embrace it. For safety for them and for God's will in all we do and say during their visit.” By Myrna de la Rosa

Praise Report & Prayer

We Thank God that we are alive and passionate to see His Will come to pass in this world. Please continue to pray that we will be fruitful in all good works, as we continue to be deeply and crazily in love with Jesus and the Gospel, to the Glory of the Father.

Please also pray for safe travel back through the States to Mexico and that we would settle back into life there as a married couple.

May you continue to bear much fruit for His kingdom, in and out of season this month, as the Lord leads you for the Gospel.

With Much love and Blessings

In His Service,

Donald & Becky

April Newsletter 2013

Dear Friend,

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
(1 John 4:9)

Happy Easter! We pray you are well and sound as you look forward to the most celebrated Jewish festival in the entire year “the passover!” This was a day when all people in Israel came together to hear about what God did to deliver them to freedom. Today we all as Christians look back to what Jesus did for us on the cross so we could live through Him. With this, we are convinced that no matter what is going on in our lives, we can all look back to the cross and lay all our burdens there as He surely cares for us.

Ministry News

Becky and I flew back home to England safely to prepare for our upcoming marriage just around the corner. For the past 2 and half weeks we have been taking marriage preparation sessions and carrying out practical details for the wedding day. We are blessed by the number of people who are coming around us to help us in preparation for this coming new area of our lives. One thing that has been on my mind (Donald) is a quote from Steve James. He says “Jesus did not arrive on earth to debate theology, but He came to propose marriage!” May the Lord guide us, as we live to represent Jesus to one another!

The Lord continues to provide opportunities for us to minister. Last week Donald was invited to teach a bible study, and last night he was preaching in a budding church here in London. The Lord is mighty as He continues to use us for his glory on every side.

The ministry in Mexico continues to move forward. This week my co-workers have the youth camps going on. This is always a week of many activities, and an evening of digging deeper with the Lord. At the end of the week, many who don’t know the Lord receive him, and are baptized and those who already know Him are encouraged to deepen their roots in Him. Please pray for all the youth in the camp.

The village ministry also continues to flourish; Myrna is working hard on getting out the gospel. She continues to meet up with the young girls, run children activities and with the women too. The gospel is being preached on every level, in every activity even simply by just helping the village ladies to peel potatoes while taking the opportunity to tell them about a mighty God who saves!

Prayer Call

At the beginning of January, we sent out a gospel challenging but inviting email to all our newsletter receivers. Mentioning we are believing God for 30 prayer partners who will join and cover us for each day of the month. Also those with whom we would share our most exciting, and most challenging needs (spirit, soul and body), things not shared in a newsletter. To date we have 14 people/couples who have teamed up with us in prayer a certain day a month, and as they also send in their needs we pray for them on the same day. If you are not on the list, and would like to commit yourself in praying for us each month, please email us. donaldkamese@gmailcom.

Praise Report
-       Thank God He’s providing us with health and wholeness as we look toward our wedding soon.
-       That the ministry continues soaring even in our absence, and the gospel is being preached to the poor.
-       That God continues to provide for our needs day by day.
-       Thank you for all of your prayers last month, we are seeing God working through us on every level

Please continue to pray
1-For wisdom and guidance as we step out together in marriage and together preaching the Gospel of Truth. May the Lord prepare people’s hearts as they receive and grow in truth.
2-Pray for the availability of resources as we endeavor to reach out to the Mexican people. May we never be restricted for the lack of resources in any way.
3-May the Lord’s grace be sufficient in our lives, and those we are serving with- even through great challenges as we look only to him. Continue to pray for Myrna and Tadeo as they keep serving in Delicias and seek to continue to get the gospel out.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you as you prepare for this year’s Easter. Take your time to recall and remember all that He has done in your life and the lives of those around you in this past year. He is faithful and his goodness endures forever.

In His everlasting tender mercies,
Lots of Love and Blessings
Donald & Becky
