April Newsletter 2012

Dear Friend,

Happy Easter! All over around the world people are giving gifts in the form of Chocolate bunnies and sorts. The kids are all excited and can’t wait to embark on this year’s egg hunt. But even after 2000 years plus, the original story still stands. Of the perfect gift ever given. “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9). Recently as I went through the book of Nehemiah I was very much encouraged, by Nehemiah being a high official in the Kingdom of Persia, leaves his comfortable life to serve and ultimately identify with those who were going through a time of distress and oppression. By this example, may we all be encouraged to live through Christ each day as we serve our generation!

Ministry News
It was wonderful these past two weeks receiving a construction team sent out by Advancing Native Missions (ANM), who helped to construct an altar in the main church in San Pedro. We also got the opportunity to visit Delicias and climb up a mountain.
The ministries in the villages are growing, especially in Delicias. We recently held a special service where we ministered to over 70 people. Three people gave their lives to Christ!  Praise the Lord!

A Seven year old’s Doll
Recently as we collected clothes and other things for the villages, Myrna decided to collect toys for the children. Among the donor was a 7 year old girl who decided to go and pick out her most favorite doll she has ever had, to give it to another girl in Delicias who didn’t have any. It was hard to believe the simple faith and generosity of this 7 year old. The experience encouraged us all on how simple in faith children are, this really up lifted us in the area of giving our best. Even though one feels he/she already gives out their best, there is never a limit to a generous heart. I was challenged.

Becky in Mexico
It was an honor recently as I welcomed my friend Becky here in Mexico. Below is a special report from her.

“I recently had the opportunity and privilege of spending 2 amazing weeks in Mexico with Donald. I headed there speaking very little Spanish and not knowing exactly what to expect but was overwhelmed by the reception I received. Everywhere I went I was so welcomed and shown such hospitality even out of the little that the people had. It was such a joy to be able to form relationships with the people even in our limited conversations.

Having supported Donald since his first arrival in Mexico I have eagerly read his monthly newsletters and have prayed for him regularly. Now having seen firsthand the work he and the entire Seedtime and Harvest Ministry team are doing in the villages like Delicias, the micro-finance projects in the form of water purifiers and the drug rehabilitation centre, I now feel so much better equipped in praying for the work being undertaken.

I also spent some time traveling to Tepic and Guadalajara (Mexico’s second largest city) where Donald lead a youth conference and I was able to share in the congregations, and share my testimony in the home church groups. I have now returned to England with a resolve to pray harder for the ongoing work. Donald really does have such a passion for God and for people. You can’t help but also be affected. I have also been reminded that no matter where you are around the world, one thing is the same and that is the need for the Lord Jesus in each person’s life. It has spurred me on to share the love of God with the people in my current mission field even more and to share the gospel with them.  Even if you can’t physically go to Mexico, you can still be such a big part of the ministry by standing with the missionaries in prayer, knowing that God really is using them to reach the people of Mexico. I am so thankful to God for this opportunity and am looking forward to returning!!” ~Becky Lowe

Thank you so much
I am very grateful for all your prayers and support. I am always encouraged to hear from you and to know how I can also pray for you. Looking at every way I am a blessing to the people around me and the lives that are touched and changed by the powerful loving grace of Jesus, I know and I am convinced you play a great part in it all and you are a partaker of the Grace that the Lord has bestowed on my life. I am so thankful to have a friend like you.

Please Continue to Pray
1-    For God’s wisdom. May He lead and guide us as we venture into all the ministries He is allowing us to spear head, and be part of. This week we are having a Youth Camp where we expect over 150 people in attendance.

2- Pray for the availability of resources, finances and much needed help. (For information on how you can get involved by giving a specific project, please get in touch)

3-   Lastly, please pray for the security situation in Mexico, and as we overcome every challenge we encounter along the way. May we always have a meek and humble heart, always ready to hear God, and walk in righteousness.

Dear friend, May you have such a wonderful Happy Easter. Celebrating the thrill and joyous happiness of a great Savior who laid out His Life so we could live. May you be encouraged throughout this month, as you keep your eyes on the savior of your soul.

Much blessings and love
Donald

PSs: Mission Possible Book
“Donald Kamese is a remarkable young man who has learned a lot—and with his approach to life will continue to learn much. Young people—and all people considering life and missions—will benefit greatly by reading his book.”

A review by John Lindner, Editor, ANM World Missions Magazine

I am very happy to report that finally Mission Possible goes into the main stream market online such as Amazon, major distribution channels like Banners and Nobles and Book data bases worldwide making it available to order in any book store/library near you. I am already receiving reports from those who have read the book and have been greatly encouraged to serve the Lord! One missionary from the US said;

“I wish I had known these cultural differences before hand, saving me the frustration of all misunderstandings I have encountered in Mexico.”
