May Newsletter 2011

Dear Friend,

We are already full swing into the 2011 summer. I pray as the sun rises each morning to take off the dark cover of the night, God’s fruitfulness in you will be uncovered by the ever son-rising rays of Christ as you stand up to shine in reflection of His glory.

As I got up this morning, Gen 8:22 has been readily on my mind. “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Ministry News
Talking about seedtime and harvest, it seems the month of May was a time of scattering seed. From being invited to speak in different gatherings of believers, bringing young people together for missions and currying out village outreaches. To top it off, I was given an hour long on the air waves of national broadcasting radio, where I was interviewed on missions. The result was overwhelming, as people called and sent in questions to be answered, without enough time to get back to each one, the listeners where directed to send in emails/facebook mails to be responded to on a later time.. I was readily invited again!
God has been opening doors in every direction as I pour out my heart to share with my generation the wonders of His love. As a result, many people have been drawn in love by the grace of Jesus, including 8 who said Yes to Christ!

Village ministries
The ministry in villages goes on to flourish. Last month we planned and took a group of 27 people to the village, including a humanitarian aid worker and a nurse. Who ministered to the mothers and the children in Delicias. During the first week of July I am planning another similar event tagged “resplandeciendo en la necesidad” where we will have a medical doctor and  2 nurses on our team-who will be attending to the villager’s health needs and giving out free medication. I have also invited 2 ladies who are gifted and experienced in making crafts, who will be holding a workshop with the ladies in the villages and help with the “Dios Es Amor-Micro-finance project.

El Calor football/soccer team
Our soccer team El Calor-“A Dios sea la Gloria” (Glory be to God) having made it to the play offs and being knocked out, we are now in preparations for the pre-season friendly matches and taking on new team players. I have had to pick up some more responsibilities with the team. Having been appointed as a scout(to spot talent in youngsters), I have been having meetings with the team coach and we spent last week in south near Acapulco, and villages close to the state of Oaxaca. We were spotting and trying out potential players for the coming season. Some of the communities we visited are made up of the closed communities of Afro-Mexicans. It is believed that over some 200 years ago, a ship that was carrying slaves en-route to the United States had a crash near the pacific shore of Oaxaca-making up the group.  They are a closed group of people with their own culture in the country without much outside influence, and no churches! Having been informed about the communities and how passionate they are about soccer, we decided that the sport will act as a tool to take the Gospel to them.

Missions Travel
It seems like by the end of this year I will have covered several thousand miles on the road. As I seem to finish one trip, while the next is just on the corner requiring much prayer and preparations. I have been honored by an invitation by the representatives of Operation Mobilization (OM) and asked to be one of the main guest speakers at their missions conference a long side two other veteran missionaries who have mostly served within the 10/40 window. The event will be taking place in Guadalajara-Mexico’s 2rd largest city. Please pray for the much needed wisdom and grace as we inspire more people to take the Gospel of peace and truth to the nations.

Thank you so much
I am very grateful for all your prayers and support that you offer me. I am always encouraged to hear from you and to know how I can also pray for you. Looking at every way I am a blessings to the people around me and the lives that are touched and changed by the powerful loving grace of Jesus, I know and I am convinced you play a great part in it all and you are partaker of the Grace that the Lord has bestowed on my life. I am so thankful to have a friend like you.

Please continue to pray
1-    For God’s wisdom to over flow in my life as I desire to press toward the high calling and reach out to others every single day.

2-    Pray for the availability of resources and much needed help.
3-    Lastly, please pray for the security situation in Mexico, and as we overcome every challenge we encounter along the way. May we always have a meek and humble heart, always ready to hear God, and walk in righteousness.

Dear friend, may you enjoy a blessed month. My prayer for you is that you are encouraged as you watch this summer’s sunrise/sunset- to remind you of God’s faithfulness who promised that seedtime and harvest shall never cease. Whatever good seed you sow during this season, whether it’s a vegetable or some quality time with your family, may God bless it and increase it to produce a great harvest. As it grows, wait patiently for your heavenly father to bring it to fruitfulness.

Much Blessings and Love
Donald

“Donald Kamese is a remarkable young man who has learned a lot—and with his approach to life will continue to learn much. Young people—and all people considering life and missions—will benefit greatly by reading his book.”
A review by John Lindner, Editor, ANM World Missions Magazine
