November Newsletter 2011

Dear Friend,
I thank God for you and what He is doing in our lives and ministries here in San Pedro Mexico. It is uplifting to hear good news, salvation reports, and signs and wonders that God is performing through His servants. To Him be the glory forever! A verse that has been readily on my mind says On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” (John 14:20) How good to know and walk in the realization daily that everything God does through us and in us, is because of His never ending love.

With this said, we are right at the edge of 2011. It has been such an adventurous year indeed, with some of the most surprising moments ever in my life. This year alone, I have been able to travel to over 22 destinations for the purpose of the Gospel, and ministered to over 8,400 people! Last night as I was in our new church plant in a village called “Nueva Candelaria,” a lady who has been paralyzed in her legs for months sent someone to let us know that since our prayers last week, she has been able to walk a little! She asked us to go back and pray for her. We prayed not only for her legs, but her salvation too, and a couple of other people. Praise God!
Ministry News
The village ministry is going very well. In Delicias we are planning a Christmas Celebration next week. We are also collecting clothes and other items to give to the people as we are in the middle of a dry cold climate where by at the moment, it gets below the freezing point at night. We will also have goodies for the kids, as most of them never get to experience the joy of celebrating the GREATEST GIFT ever given to us.

Victor’s Story
As God’s goodness keeps on unfolding in our lives, a few months ago, I befriended and got to know a fellow who now comes to our church, and he is my new student in missions. His name is Victor.

Victor is the sixth among 9 children born to a Mexican family. At the age of 9, Victor got involved in all types of anti-social behaviors. For the young boy, he thought this is what an adult did, after seeing his father coming back home drunk nearly every night. At age 14, Victor dropped out of school and went to Monterey about 5 hours away from San Pedro to start work. Which later led to him joining the Mexican forces as a soldier, but this did not control his drug abuse habit, but rather boosted it with more arrogance of power provided by his rank among his fellow army men. This continued for 8 years, until he was kicked out of the army for drug abuse and supply.
As the young man continued his life, the habit drove away his wife, and the 3 children they had had. It was later, that he was confronted by his praying mother who had just received Christ in her life. After countless times when Victor came home in the wee hours, he always found his mother crying with her bible open and praying for him. To which he says “I thought the old lady had gone crazy!” However one particular night when he got home, his mother was simply sited on the table. She said “I release you and let you go from this day forward. You can do whatever you want, it’s your life.”   The words echoed deep in Victor’s heart, which sent him to sob all night long, as he thought, “my wife and kids have left me, and now I am also about to loose my mother.” The next morning, Victor went to his mother, and promised that he desired to seek help. After an appointment with a drug counselor, he was told nothing was wrong with him but the life he has always known was leading him astray. He was given the address of a Christian Rehab Center in Saltillo another City about three hours away from here. From the center, he discovered deliverance in Jesus, and accepted Him as his Lord and savior. Victor served in the Rehab center, until at the beginning of this year.

Victor is now a changed man, and he is so on fire for God. During the last few months, we have developed a deeper friendship, and I am now discipling him into missions. Each week he and I go into villages, and the drug rehabilitation center we run. He is such a passionate deliverance from addiction preacher, and I am excited to have him work alongside me.

Thank you so much
Thank you so much for all of you who responded with your pledge of prayer and support for Alexia (a young girl I mentioned in my October Newsletter: http://www.loveisking.blogspot.com/) I am very grateful for all your prayers and support that you offer. I am always encouraged to hear from you and to know how I can also pray for you. Looking at every way I am a blessing to the people around me and the lives that are touched and changed by the powerful loving grace of Jesus, I know and I am convinced you play a great part in it all and you are partaker of the Grace that the Lord has bestowed on my life. I am so thankful to have a friend like you.
Please continue to pray

1-    For God’s wisdom to over flow in my life as I disciple others like Victor to press toward the high calling and reach out to those who don’t know the good news. May He lead and guide us as we venture into all the ministries He is allowing us to spear head, and be part of.

2-    2-  Pray for the availability of resources, finances and much needed help.

3-   3-   Lastly, please pray for the security situation in Mexico, and as we overcome every challenge we encounter along the way. May we always have a meek and humble heart, always ready to hear God, and walk in righteousness.

Dear Friend, may you walk in the realization of you being in Christ and Him in you during these last few weeks in 2011. May they be a joy to you, as you look forward to the celebration of the greatest gift ever given us from above. May God’s goodness, love and tender kindness, be yours as you are encouraged to reach out to those who need Him most. You are such a blessings and very much appreciated.

Much love and blessings,

Love Is King,

Donald
